Why I Became A Nutritional Therapist

My interest in nutrition began as a result of my own health journey, which was a struggle with chronic illness and the need to regain my health once again.

I found that the changes I made to my diet and lifestyle were profound at helping me to facilitate my recovery.

Whilst incredibly personal, I found that this very individualised experience was character-building and enabled me to empathise with other people going through chronic illness.

I therefore used this journey and built upon it, studying for a further three years after university and seeing clients in a clinical setting.

So to answer the question, why did I become a nutritional therapist? I want to educate people that lifestyle interventions can absolutely support and promote health, especially when you have a chronic illness and you want to find more answers.

I want to spread as much excitement and joy about healthy living as I can rather than making it seem limiting or restrictive. The reason for this is because I found it very difficult in the beginning, and I found that nobody around me wanted to live healthy lives.

Now I am fortunate to see that a lot of the people around me do seek health and abundance and I am in pursuit of everybody to seek this, too, because I know the power it can have and I know how we all deserve this in our lives.

Healthy living can be a tool to help you overcome some of the most difficult of experiences in life as I ultimately believe that self-care is one of the ways through any hardship.

It helped me and I hope that you can see it can really help you, too.

All you need is the willingness to open yourself up to change and you can completely transform the way you look, think and feel.

If you're sat there thinking that you can't make a change or you feel incapable of transforming your habits, let me tell you, I've been there.

My personal experience has given me the ability to understand the psychology behind why we make the decisions that we make, and also understand the difficulty of living with a chronic illness and the need to tackle this through lifestyle medicine. I can completely empathise with anyone in this situation and guide you towards optimum health.

This is why I am passionate about helping clients to achieve their health and weight goals. I can help get to the root of your issues by looking at your diet, lifestyle and overall health history. Such changes can be so pivotal in your overall health and wellbeing.
