Healthier Alcoholic Beverages for Christmas

You’ll have seen my posts recently about whether it is possible to achieve a healthier way of drinking during the Christmas season.

Whilst we know that alcohol has various health risks associated with it, I am also a firm believer in balance and enjoying a little alcoholic tipple during celebratory periods.

So, IF you are going to have a drink over the festive period, I am providing my top “wiser” alcoholic beverage choices for you to make at home this Christmas:

  • Clear spirits with low-sugar or kombucha mixers (infuse with your favourite fruits and herbal botanicals)

  • Bloody Mary: my take on the 1920’s classic

  • Red wine: a polyphenol-rich alternative to white wine or rosé.
